We all love chocolate spread.
Gooey, thick, and sweet, it goes with nearly everything; from a warm piece of toast in the morning to the swipe of a cheeky spoon when no one’s looking. It stores well, and is still scrumptious after being carted around all day, making it the perfect lunchbox treat. But it’s still chocolate spread, and should only really be enjoyed in small doses every so often. That is, unless there was a way to make a slightly more nutritious, and still exceptionally delicious version of chocolate spread, made from chickpeas, sticky medjool dates and cocoa powder.
This simple recipe blends all the ingredients together to make a sweet and sticky spread, the same consistency and texture as the classic Nutella, but just a little healthier.
