Method
1.Trim icing from cakes and discard. Brush cut side of cakes with liqueur.
2.In a bowl using an electric mixer, beat cream and paste until soft peaks. Pile half the cream on top of one cake. Top with remaining cake.
3.In a small bowl, combine nutella and milk until smooth (add a little more milk if mixture is still thick).
4.Top cake with remaining cream, cherries and drizzle with nutella sauce. Serve with chocolate shards.
If liked, serve with drizzled with custard or scoops of chocolate ice-cream.
